Babies ‘R’ Us is Returning to the Tri-State Area, and Soon to Connecticut?
The American Dream is really succeeding at being the revivalist of the decaying American retail scene. New Jersey's mega-mall answer to the Mall of America has helped to dust off and resurrect 'Toys R Us' by building a gorgeous new flagship store to accompany the toy giant's rollout in Macy's stores nationwide. Now, word is spreading that The American Dream will assist with another extinct retail resurrection - Babies R Us.
The better part of this news? Just like Toys R Us, we may see Babies R Us in Connecticut again.
But for now, you'll have to take the trip across the Hudson River to get your Babies R Us fix. According to retailcustomerexperience.com, American Dream is in the process of building a Babies R Us flagship store that is slated to open this summer.
Back to the good news, after announcing Babies R Us' New Jersey flagship store, and an online presence being brought back, the chairman and CEO of Toys R Us/Babies R Us said that "This sets the stage for a national rollout of Babies R Us in the future."
As I'm writing this today, babiesrus.com has a splash page with a stork holding a delivery that says 'Babies R Us arriving soon!' with 'Reimagining a new Babies "R" Us Experience'. Underneath, there's a link to Toyrus.com.
I don't see delivery drones flying over Connecticut yet, so I think this will be welcome news to anyone expecting. A 5 minute drive is so much better than waiting behind 15 stops with a crying infant.
