Some of us have jumped off Silver Bridge in Newtown/Southbury over the years, I am not one of the brave. But with this bridge closure that has been in effect since last Monday April 18th? I'm about ready to drive my car into the cold waters of Lake Zoar.

I use River Rd/Glen Road almost daily lately, it's the only shortcut that I know of that takes you across the Housatonic River in the area. 84 has absolutely been a nightmare between exits 14 and 10 every day during drive times due to this stretch of road being closed.

I miss my funny Village Perk sandwich boards. I miss avoiding the dreaded Rochambeau Bridge delays on I-84. I actually have to sit through that $&*t now. It was only supposed to be a 7 day closure. It's dragging into day 9 now. I'm just about to leave work in Brookfield, dare I attempt it? Is it still closed?
