Famous ESPN Anchor Scott Van Pelt Is Selling His CT Home

Famous sports news anchor Scott Van Pelt recently put his Farmington based estate on the market for $1,875,000, according to realtor.com. Van Pelt, who hosts the late-night "Sports Center With Scott Van Pelt" every night on ESPN, is relocating from his home, which is conveniently close to the network's flagship studio in Bristol, to his home state of Maryland. He will continue to host his show from the ESPN studio in Washington D.C., the area he grew up in. Van Pelt went to school at The University of Maryland, and part of the reason for the move is to be closer to his almost 80-year old mother, according to Sports Business Daily.

S.V.P., as he's famously called, purchased The Farmington home in October 2014 for 3 million. It boasts 6 beds, 4.5 baths, and is a whopping 8,801 square feet located at the end of a cul-de-sac. The house includes a 4 car garage, movie theatre, bar, and gym, according to realtor.com:

The anchor's new home is in Bethesda, MD, and was purchased for a whopping $4.25 million in March. The Georgian-colonial style home is an impressive 11,519 square feet and is luxuriously located between two golf courses. The house was initially put on the market for $5.3 million, which means S.V.P. got the mansion for a steal, according to SFGate:
