If you feel like traveling up to the greater Hartford area this weekend, and you love shopping local, get to the Farmington Polo Grounds, and check out the Made in Connecticut Expo Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15. This is the second year for this expo, and the event will feature around 300 vendors from all over our beautiful state.

Arts & crafts, food vendors, drink vendors, clothing and fashion vendors, artists, farmers, authors signing their books, health and beauty items, pet food vendors, food trucks, and furniture makers are all listed on the official event page on Facebook, which you can go to by clicking here:

There will also be an acrobatics demo, face painting and a bounce house, wood working and chainsaw demos, and local Connecticut beer and wines for sale.

The Made in Connecticut Expo runs Saturday and Sunday, May 14 & 15, from 11AM to 6PM at the Farmington Polo Grounds, 152 Town Farm Road, in Farmington, CT

Tickets are $6, ($5 in advance) Children under 12 are free

Sounds like fun! I'll be at Ives Concert Park for Brews & BBQ 2016 on Saturday, but maybe I'll see you on the Farmington Polo Grounds on Sunday. I'll be the chubby fellow searching for Connecticut beef jerky.
