It's a question I have been asking myself more and more due to the Powerball jackpot that is now up around 500 million.

I of course would be a wonderful and respectful boss but there are certainly things I have had it up to here with doing for a long time now.  For instance I would need my assistant to:

  • Do laundry
  • Shop for groceries
  • Shop for clothes
  • Handle any and all instances where I might have to call somewhere and be on hold
  • Handle any and all administrative duties.
  • Go to the DMV any time I need you to (sometimes I would make you go just cause I want you to)
  • Clean the bathroom
  • Clean the kitchen
  • Do the dishes
  • Find my wife's hair ties
  • Find my Chap Stick
  • Snow removal
  • Oil changes
  • Get gas
  • Iron clothes including underwear
  • Change my socks
  • Drive me wherever I want to go
  • Keep baby wipes in stock at all times
  • Babysit my three children

OK basically if you are my assistant just kiss your life goodbye.  I really could not ever really treat someone like that.  But what about you?  If you had the means to pay a personal assistant what would you make them do?  What one thing is most important that they do and why?   We will be talking about this on the Ethan and Lou morning radio show tomorrow.  We will also run down a list of some of the terrible things some of your favorite celebrities have made their assistants do.  Leave your comment here or call the show tomorrow at 203-775-9595.
