Danbury PD Says Suspects Had 700 Grams of Cocaine Intended for Sale
Jonathan Sanchez is known to the Danbury Police Department as a convicted drug trafficker.
Sanchez is back in trouble with the law after being arrested on August 24th by the Danbury Police Department. According to a press release, Danbury officers from the DEA/SID worked in conjunction with police in Brookfield & Southbury to arrest Sanchez and another man, Jairo Batista.
The arrests of Sanchez and Batista were the culmination of a seven month long drug investigation by local law enforcement. The release states the authorities executed search and seizure warrants on Sanchez and Batista on Thursday. The search of Batista's person allegedly turned up 59 grams of cocaine, a scale and drug paraphernalia.

Police say Sanchez's residence was home to 700 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia and 32 grams of crack. The police state they seized the drugs from both men along with almost $8,000 in cash.

Risk of Injury to a minor 2 counts
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Illegal Possession within 250’ of a housing project 2 counts
Conspiracy to possess a controlled substance
Conspiracy to Poss. Narcotics with intent to sell
Jairo Batista
Batista was arrested and charged with:
Possession of a Controlled Substance
Possession of a Narcotic Substance with Intent to Sell
Conspiracy to Possess a Controlled Substance
Conspiracy to Possess Narcotics with Intent to Sell
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Sanchez's Bond is $500,000 and Batista's is $100,000.
