Danbury Mayor Joe Cavo joined the Ethan and Lou Show on I-95 on Thursday (8/5/21) and made an astonishing admission or two.

Since many of our segments with the Mayor have been heavy in 2021, I wanted to give him what I thought was a lighthearted, fun introduction to start things off Thursday and he took that and went somewhere I did not expect.

I mentioned to Mayor Cavo that I recently wrote an article about Bigfoot encounters in the State of Connecticut, I told him that neighboring Litchfield County had a high number of sightings but Danbury and Fairfield County were not a worry. I figured, I'd just let him know that the Sasquatch was no problem he'd likely have to deal with as Mayor anytime soon.

His answer back was enlightening and it's worth noting (in case you don't know) Mayor Cavo is well over 6'5", I don't know his exact height but this is a big man. Here is what Joe Cavo had to say:

"I have some great pictures of me during the early part of the pandemic when I just couldn't get a haircut so I didn't shave either and, you know they are kept in my phone in a secure file. There is a real close resemblance there and I do where a 16 triple E, so I have all the criteria."

Sure it's a joke from the Mayor but what about these guys with planetary feet and tower into the skies above us? Don't they make it easier to believe that there is a creature lurking in the woods that is taller, hairier and happens shares a similar DNA makeup?

Why is the Yeti, the Sasquatch, the Bigfoot so unbelievable? When I wrote the article about the Bigfoot, I had someone comment on it on Facebook named Brian Bulakites who said:

"They now have several DNA samples but they have know DNA to compare it to and it always comes back as a feral human and the hair samples come back as a human that never had a hair cut. people do not realize that if you get a hair cut as a kid and would never cut it again there would still would be a taper in the hair. But I am not buying the sightings in Connecticut unless it was to be a young male searching for new territory."

Feral humans of this height and strength don't make me feel better frankly, it scares me more but thank you Brian. I don't know what to believe, is the Mayor of Danbury possibly living a double life howling and beating trees with sticks at night? Can the Bigfoot phenomena be explained with feral humans?

Better men than me have asked these questions and I stand zero chance of solving the mystery today but I encourage you to do the research, share it with me when you are done and I'll pass it off as my own work.

10 Extraordinary Reports of CT Bigfoot Encounters

The Bigfoot Field Research Organization is a legit group that takes the business of Bigfoot very seriously, so if you have had an encounter with a Bigfoot, you should not hesitate to reach out to them. When you think about Bigfoot, and I do a lot, Connecticut is one of the last places that comes to mind but there are far more eyewitness accounts than you might imagine. These are 10 of the most extraordinary Bigfoot sightings in the Nutmeg State.

Look Inside Rarely Seen Corners of Brewster

There is an area in Brewster, NY where US 202, Lower Mine Road, the Croton River, the train tracks and a reservoir all converge. This is a look inside the rarely seen corners of Brewster AKA the Town of Southeast.

In 1970, Two Men Robbed a Danbury Bank + Blew Up the Police Station

The story of the Pardue brothers, their connection to Danbury and what happened in the Hat City in February of 1970 came to us from Mike Allen. Every Tuesday Mike joins the Ethan and Lou Show on I-95 for a feature called "The Place You Live" and this week it was a local story unlike any I'd ever heard.

John Pardue was a 27-year-old man in 1970 who lived in Danbury, his brother James was 23, and living in Lusby, MD. Before the story finds its way to the Hat City, and the brothers rob the Union Savings Bank on Main Street, they had already racked up quite the list of astonishing crimes.

Prior to Danbury, they robbed banks in Lewisboro, NY, Georgetown, CT and Union, MO. They also killed their father, their grandmother, two other men who helped them pull off the robbery in Georgetown, CT and had, at minimum, a role in the death of an innocent Bridgeport man that they stole a car from. John and James Pardue were hardened criminals before their Danbury bank robbery.
