Coronavirus, the deadly respiratory illness that has shocked the globe since its debut in China and recent arrival to the U.S., might have just touched down at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT.

According to WTNH, a student at the local university came down with Coronavirus-like symptoms, which include a cough and fever, only three days after being in an Asian airport which an infected person was in. Reportedly, they were at the airport at the same time.

Despite this frightening news, Wesleyan students aren't too nervous about their health, speaking to their confidence in the campus doctor and the fact that the case hasn't been confirmed. Nevertheless, the university is imploring its students to maintain proper hygiene and health habits.

The university is awaiting the results of the student's tests that they sent to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the State Department of Public Health. Although the student is in very stable condition, he is still being kept in isolation until further information on his illness is received, WTNH reports.

And while Wesleyan awaits the official diagnosis, we should wait with them, too. The Coronavirus is not to be taken lightly, and that the deadly illness could be within our state's borders- officially- proves our lives to be all the less guaranteed. So: for the sake of you and your neighbor's safety- cover your sneeze, wash your hands, and hug your loved ones like you mean it.
