You don’t need to be a NASCAR fan to recognize the name “Daytona”. But did you know that one Danbury business will be representing in Daytona this year?

American Pavement Specialists is sponsoring the Spencer Boyd #20 Truck in Friday night’s Camping World Truck Series Race! The synergy between American Pavement Specialists and Spencer Boyd is unmistakable - they were both Raised on Blacktop.

Bill Stanley, owner of American Pavement Specialists, has been operating out of Danbury for over 25 years. His boys have followed in his footsteps and work alongside him in the field. Spencer Boyd approached Bill Stanley last year when a sponsor backed out last minute in Vegas.

As the schedule rolled out for this year’s NASCAR Truck Series, Stanley decided to spotlight his brand on the most watched NASCAR weekend of the year – the season opener at Daytona International Speedway on Friday, February 12th.

Both Stanley and Boyd have dedicated years of hard work and hustle to get to where they are – a theme that is represented in Matt Stanley’s brain child “Raised on Blacktop”. This motto turned brand serves to unite asphalt contractors together - proud to represent the sweat and effort they put in to a hard day’s work.

But that’s not the only application for the term – many feel the same sense of pride when reminiscing about childhood basketball games on pavement courts or play time on streets and sidewalks. Raised on Blacktop is all about grit and perseverance.

Excited to cheer on the Spencer Boyd American Pavement Specialists truck? You can catch the race on FS1 and MRN at 7:30 on February 12th.

Want to get a once in a lifetime VIP experience? Stanley and Boyd are offering up a chance for a “virtual” meeting with Spencer Boyd as well as the opportunity to name the truck exclusively for i95 listeners! The winner will also receive a $100 gift card to Raised on Blacktop for some awesome merch!

This is exciting not only for the Stanley family and American Pavement Specialists LLC but for the entire community. Danbury, CT and the surrounding towns will no doubt be cheering on Spencer’s #20 car and the A.P.S. team.

We smell the winner’s circle and a checkered flag. We smell a lot of things but this is a good one. Let’s go Spencer, let’s go Danbury, let’s go American Pavement Specialists LLC!
