It's a nice feeling when something you've known for a long time is validated nationally. I've been eating Fascia's chocolates for pretty much my whole life. They started business in 1964, and I followed closely behind 5 years later. I love their products, and now, so will a lot more people across this country, because Waterbury's Fascia's Chocolates has just announced on their Facebook page that they have been recognized as one of the nation's top 12 chocolatiers by an industry giant.

According to Rep-Am.com, Fascia's was one of 12 confectioners in the United States to receive one of the initial "Peter's Chocolate Award of Distinction" from global chocolate manufacturer Cargill, and one of their premiere brands, Peter's Chocolates. The Fascia family is featured on a video posted to the Peter's Chocolate website, and they are also, uh, Miss Chocolate December? on the downloadable Peter's Chocolate 2020 Calendar

Among the 12 winners, only 1 other chocolate maker was chosen in the Northeast, Vermont's Birnn Chocolates. But I'll put my money on Fascia's, I've been a big fan for all of my life. Mrs. Large and I frequent the Chase River Road headquarters/store as often as we can. Some of our favorites are the Milk Chocolate Potato Chips, Nonpareils, and their Hazelnut Meltaways are all superior. Congratulations Fascia's, I hope that this national attention translates to a whole lot more of our great nation getting to experience your delicious treats.
