    The Place

    The Place is simply a seafood lovers dream! When you pull up to this rustic outdoor dining spot on the Boston Post Road in Guilford, you'll smell an outdoor fire roasting clams, lobsters, and corn and other tantalizing menu items. Don't expect to find chairs, just tree stumps set up around bright red tables. You'll notice a simple charm dating back to the 1940's.

    Rocky Neck State Park

    Abbott's is located in Noank where you can feast on lobster and clams, mussels, and oysters in a picnic table type atmosphere overlooking the Sound. Must haves are the light clear, broth based chowder, steamed clams, Marty's mussels and their famous "Hot Lobster Roll"...Ah hell, just try it all!!

    Mansfirld Drive-In

    Back in my day, drive-ins were plentiful, but now are a dying breed. The Mansfield Drive-In is at 228 Stafford Road in Mansfield, CT and features 3 screens and a well stocked snack bar. For movie info call 860-423-4441. On Sunday's, the Drive-In boasts the largest flea market in eastern CT, indoors and outdoors, rain or shine.

    Harry's Place

    Harry's cheeseburgers are the talk of Connecticut! They're located at 104 Broadway in Colchester. The burgers are cooked on a hot oily grill with top of line ground beef and the hot dogs are cooked on the same grill. People who live close by, say their go-to place for a cheeseburger is always Harrys'.

    Sea Swirl

    Sea Swirl, a former Carvel stand, is on Rt. 1 east of Mystic and is famous for their outrageous whole belly fried clams. One of the reviewers on Roadfood.com said that, "Seaswirl's fried scallops are beyond unbeatable. They are the gold standard."
