The Mersey Beatles are the world's only Beatles tribute band where all of the members hail from the Beatles' hometown of Liverpool. They've played all over the world, including a sold-out show last year at the Palace Danbury. They return to the Palace this Friday night.

This year's show is a special salute to 1968, with the first set comprising the most popular songs from the White Album as well as the Beatles' non- White Album singles from that year.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Steven Howard, who plays Paul McCartney in the Mersey Beatles. We talked about whether their hometown crowds are tough to play for, what it's like to play at the legendary Cavern Club where the Beatles were discovered, how they got together, how they pick the song list, and what to expect at the show Friday night.

Tickets for the show are available here. All Beatlemaniacs should enjoy this show immensely.
