The Home of Rock 'N' Roll has partnered up with American Senior Magazine to give a nod of recognition to local seniors who've done their part in making the Greater Danbury such an incredible place to live.

This week, we send out a giant salute to a man who has spent his entire life working within and giving back to Danbury, Mike Caravakis. Mike was nominated by his loving daughter Adriana, and here's what she had to say about why her dad deserves recognition:

My father, Mike, has worked for the Danbury NewsTimes since he was 7-years-old, delivering newspapers on the south end of Danbury. He has a wonderful relationship with businesses all around our community. He is the hardest working man I know and will do anything for anyone. He is what Danbury stands for inside and out. Not only should he be recognized for his many years at the NewsTimes , but also for being the president of the Lebanon American Club, and working with seniors and others in the community to keep Danbury strong! God bless you, dad, and I love you more than anything!

Thank you for all that you do, Mike!

Each week, we'll continue to highlight a Greater Danbury senior who simply makes this wonderful area a better place to live. Is there a senior in your life who deserves some well-earned recognition?

It could be a grandfather, uncle, friend, or even your dad. It's easy, just fill out the form below. We'll be accepting submissions between 8/21/17 and 11/21/17.
