The Home of Rock 'N' Roll has partnered up with American Senior Magazine to give a nod of recognition to local seniors who've done their part in making the Greater Danbury such an incredible place to live.

This week, we send out a giant salute to a man who has spent his entire life working within and giving back to Greater Danbury, Richard Raymond. Richard was nominated by a family friend, Lars Wallin, and here's what he had to say about why Richard deserves recognition:

Richard served his country as a World War II veteran. He is currently the Commander of the Catholic War Veterans, a post he's held for the last 27 years. Not only was he a science teacher in Wilton for 30 years, he was the coach of the Deb's softball team for many years and a softball umpire for many more.

Thank you for all that you do, Richard!

Each week, we'll continue to highlight a Greater Danbury senior who simply makes this wonderful area a better place to live. The featured senior will receive a $50 gift card to use at an area mall and a one year subscription to American Senior Magazine. Is there a senior in your life who deserves some well-earned recognition?

It could be a grandfather, aunt, friend, or even your mom. It's easy, just fill out the form below. We'll be accepting submissions between 8/21/17 and 11/21/17.
