Few celebrities are able to get into the Halloween spirit like Jamie Lee Curtis, the star of the classic horror franchise named after the holiday itself. Sure, Gwyneth Paltrow’s Se7en costume this year was inspired, and LeBron James makes for a fantastic Pennywise, but you really can’t top Jamie Lee Curtis posing with iconic boogeyman Michael Myers for a new Halloween teaser photo…on Halloween.

As Curtis notes, the new Halloween movie will arrive on October 19, 2018 and marks the 40th anniversary of the beloved horror franchise that began with John Carpenter’s 1978 classic. The film featured Curtis in a breakout performance as Laurie Strode, a teen babysitter who faces off with the local boogeyman over one hellacious Halloween night. Curtis reprised the role several times throughout the prolific franchise before meeting her fate in Halloween: Resurrection.

The new film will be directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay by Danny McBride, and is a direct sequel to Carpenter’s original — ignoring all the sequels. Judy Greer is set to star opposite Curtis as Laurie Strode’s daughter, while Carpenter himself is returning to compose the score.
