Burt Reynolds, the iconic mustachioed star of classics ranging from Smokey and the Bandit to Boogie Nights, has passed away at the age of 82. The actor died early Thursday at Jupiter Medical Center in Florida, as confirmed by his manager. No cause of death has been given at this time.

Few celebrities are able to get into the Halloween spirit like Jamie Lee Curtis, the star of the classic horror franchise named after the holiday itself. Sure, Gwyneth Paltrow’s Se7en costume this year was inspired, and LeBron James makes for a fantastic Pennywise, but you really can’t top Jamie Lee Curtis posing with iconic boogeyman Michael Myers for a new Halloween teaser photo…on Halloween.

As it turns out, rumors of Joe Pesci’s involvement in The Irishman have not been greatly exaggerated. Although Pesci’s name has been attached to reports about Martin Scorsese’s mob drama since its inception several years back, recent updates cast some serious doubt on the actor’s involvement. That changed today, as Pesci — along with Bobby Cannavale and Harvey Keitel — has officially joined the cast of The Irishman, which marks his fourth collaboration with Scorsese and Robert De Niro.

Don Rickles’ talents were seemingly limitless: An outrageous insult comic, a gifted dramatic actor, a welcome sight on stages and screens (big and small), and a constant presence whose career endured for decades, often surpassing his contemporaries. And now he’s gone on to join them, as the legendary Rickles passed away today, April 6, at the age of 90.

Today we mourn the loss of Carrie Fisher: Iconic actor, talented author, brilliant script doctor and, most of all, an incomparable force to be reckoned with. There are so many great adjectives you could use to describe Fisher: Uncompromising, unapologetic, fierce, witty, relatable, real, honest. She took all of those qualities and put them to work in her books — from memoirs to novels, Fisher had a knack for telling poignant and painful stories with wit and wisdom. Writing a worthy obituary for one of the best and boldest women on this planet or any other is surely an impossible task…so it’s a good thing that the perfect obit basically already exists, and unsurprisingly, Fisher came up with it herself.

Even though Steve Rogers is gearing up to head into battle with about half of the people he considers friends, that hasn’t stopped the hero from participating in Facebook’s #FriendsDay. The official Captain America account shared its very own video montage celebrating all of Steve’s friends and a couple of his soon-to-be foes.

As anyone with a Netflix account will attest, browsing for something to watch can sometimes be a frustrating experience. Although the streaming service boasts thousands of titles, it seems like we’re only getting a fraction of that whether perusing via the official site or another platform’s interface, as the same movies and TV shows repeatedly turn up while browsing various categories. Quentin Tarantino has promised (threatened?) on more than one occasion to end his directing career after 10 films, and with The Hateful Eight appropriately serving as his eighth, that means we may only have two more Tarantino movies in our future. The director has had a few projects kicking around in his head — notably a third Kill Bill installment and the Inglorious Basterds-adjacent Killer Crow — and while nothing has been officially set as his follow-up to The Hateful Eight, he does have a couple of possibilities. Or not — you never know with this guy, you know?

Earlier today we ran a list of our own most anticipated films of 2016, but what about the rest of you guys? According to Fandango’s annual poll, audiences are excited for many of the same big budget studio films as we are, with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story coming out ahead of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War — neither of which even came in second place.

With Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans promising a big surprise on Jimmy Kimmel Live, we knew it had to be something special — that something is the first trailer for Captain America: Civil War. Not a teaser, but an actual, full trailer, dramatically highlighting the growing divide between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, which will divide the Avengers and pit them against one another in what could be Marvel's most epic film yet.
