Best Spot for Foodies in Connecticut

In a recent article titled "The Best Foodie City in Every U.S. State, Ranked by Flavor and Local Favorites" they say:

New Haven: Known for its rich culinary history, New Haven, Connecticut, is the birthplace of the famous New Haven-style pizza. This city is a paradise for pizza lovers, with pizzerias offering traditional pies topped with unique ingredients. Aside from pizza, New Haven boasts a variety of international cuisines, including Thai, Indian, and Ethiopian, reflecting its diverse community. Wander through its historic streets, where past and present flavors intertwine effortlessly.

Please, we have to stop this. Yes, we’ve got great pizza, but the New Haven pizza obsession is completely hogging the spotlight. It’s like a pizza-shaped eclipse, blocking out the sun and leaving everything else in the dark. This endless pizza narrative is played out. We need to set it aside and let people breathe. Has anyone even driven down Mill Plain Road in Danbury lately? The culinary scene there is amazing. Or the East Side of Danbury, which is packed with incredible food from around the globe. Don’t forget—Danbury is the 9th most diverse city in the entire United States.

You’re seriously telling me there’s nothing in Norwalk that deserves a little spotlight? What about Ridgefield? Weston? Westport? Brookfield? Bethel? New Milford? Kent? Waterbury? Bridgeport? Stamford?

What the hell are we doing? Connecticut has so much more to offer than four pizza joints in New Haven and whatever’s trending in Mystic.

If you consume Connecticut media, it’s all Mystic and four blocks in New Haven. Enough already!
