Connecticut Student Accused of Obscene Hate Crime Heads to Court
What a colossal waste of college tuition — getting yourself expelled because you don't like who you are rooming with.
As the story was breaking, we told you all about the things that this young Connecticut woman was accused of and why.
Now, according to courant.com, the former University of Hartford student accused of allegedly smearing bodily fluids on her roommate's property has asked to have her arraignment to rescheduled. It is now set for Tuesday, November 21.
As a result of the accusations, 18-year-old Brianna Brochu from Harwinton Connecticut has been charged by West Hartford police with breach of peace and criminal mischief. Brochu has also been expelled from the University of Hartford.
It comes as no surprise that college roommates, especially being thrown together for the first time they are living away from home, often don't get along. Changing rooms would be the common response to a bad situation. While that isn't always possible once the semester is underway, it is what generally occurs. The second young woman in this story, Chennel Rowe, was in the process of doing just that when Brianna Brochu decided to use social media to brag about the heinous things she had done to force Rowe to move.
One tremendously stupid move on top of a series of uncalled for actions is what is bringing her to court this week.
