While police still search for the whereabouts of a missing Danbury woman, her car has been found in nearby Patterson, NY.

53-year-old, Laelcira DeLima of Danbury was reported missing by her family after she left home at about 5:00 PM on the evening of October 20 and never returned.

It was believed that Laelcira may have been driving her red 2017 Honda Accord with the Connecticut license plate AC9-8150. Now, according to Lt. Chris Carroccio of the Danbury Police Department, the New York State Police located the vehicle abandoned at the Putnam Diner in Patterson on Tuesday afternoon (November 7).

Lt. Carroccio says that at this time, this is still considered an active missing person case and that there isn't a clear indicationof any foul play.

The News Times reports that camera footage from the diner and surrounding businesses are being used to hopefully turn up some answers as to how the car got there.

Delima was last seen wearing a black v-neck shirt and blue jeans.

If you or anyone you know has information on the possible whereabouts of Laelcira DeLima, please contact the Danbury Police Deparment immediately at 203-797-4611.
