Fatal Crash Update: Brookfield PD Provides Description of Vehicle

The Brookfield Police Department has provided an update in the case of the crash that killed a pedestrian earlier this week (November 6).

Police say that the vehicle of interest has been described as a grey or silver four-door sedan with a turn indicator on either the side of the car or as part of the side mirror. The car may also have visible damage to the front bumper, hood, and/or windshield.

According to police, 55-year-old Linda Richardson of Brookfield was struck by the vehicle while she was walking in the intersection of Sandy Lane and Homestead Lane at about 6:10 PM last evening (November 6). After striking Richardson, police say the vehicle immediately left the scene at a very high speed, and headed eastbound on Sandy Lane toward Old Gray's Bridge Road.

Anyone who was in that area, either driving or on foot, who may have seen the fleeing vehicle is asked to call Detective Sergeant Michael O'Brien at the Brookfield Police Department immediately at 203-740-4121.
