30-Year-Old Mayor Looks to Step Up for Generation as Governor of Connecticut
Diversity, new ideas, exuberance. I'm excited that the young woman I've had the pleasure of meeting several times, is throwing her hat in the ring for Governor of Connecticut.
The race for Governor of Connecticut just got a "plus one" that I'm excited about.
New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart is officially seeking the Republican nomination for governor. The 30-year-old Stewart made it official with this posting on her Facebook page
Personally I am encouraged by the positive steps Stewart has made in New Britain since she won her first term back in 2013. As a matter of fact Stewart proved her savvy at managing the city at the age of 26 when she became the youngest mayor in New Britain's history and the city's second female mayor. Stewart was reelected to a second term in 2015, and a third term in 2017.
I'm not affiliated with any political party, never have been and never will be. I vote my heart, my beliefs and also a touch of my gut. My gut tells me Erin Stewart would do a damn fine job at the helm of our state.
