Who Will Rock the New Floating Stage at Lake Compounce? We Know

From 1988 to 1992, Bristol/Southington was a legitimate concert destination, numerous national acts made their way to rock the stage at Lake Compounce. I saw some of my all-time favorite performers there, including Metallica and The Cult, UB40 and the Smithereens, Sinead O'Connor, and the B-52's.

Just before the holiday season last year, Lake Compounce announced that they were building a new floating stage for their beach, and concerts would be coming back this Summer. The schedule for Lake Compounce's Summer 2023 Concert Series is out, and it's inaugural line-up looks pretty good. They've landed a few familiar names.

The band that stood out for me at first glance is Everclear. God bless Art Alexakis, his anthems from the 90's still resonate. Everclear will play Compounce on June 10. CeeLo Green of Gnarls Barkley and The Voice floats onto the state on June 24.

Jerrod Niemann is one of the first performers scheduled for the season on May 28. There are quite a few tribute bands throughout the Summer:

Stiletto - A Billy Joel Tribute - June 17
Raise Your Hands - A Bon Jovi Tribute - July 3
K,S,F - A Kansas, Styx, and Foreigner Tribute - August 26
Yesterday - A Beatles Tribute - September 2
