Danbury

Danbury is a city in southwest Connecticut’s Fairfield County. Located on the eastern border of New York state, it serves as a central hub to a number of neighboring towns, including Ridgefield, Bethel, Newtown, Brookfield and New Fairfield in Connecticut, as well as Brewster in New York.

Nicknamed the “Hat City” in the nineteenth century because of its booming hat industry, Danbury is now home to Danbury Hospital, the Danbury Fair Mall and Western Connecticut State University. With plenty of eateries, hiking trails, museums and more, there is much to do for anyone visiting or staying in one of Connecticut’s most populated cities.
