Many state politicians see Danbury as the "Crown Jewel of Connecticut."

The state believes in our great city which is why they've kicked in $2 million to help give Danbury a much-needed facelift according to an article in the NewsTimes.

The facelift will include new sidewalks, new crosswalks, streetlamps, murals, and some new trees which will help spiff up the downtown area. Danbury Planning Director, Sharon Calitro told the NewsTimes:

It's all the things that go along with that to create a walkable, refreshed look and infrastructure in downtown to make it more enticing and to incentivize development.
