Get ready for bone-chilling cold in Connecticut over the next couple of days.

For the first time this season, Governor Lamont is enacting the state's severe weather protocol which will go from tonight at 6 p.m. until this Saturday at 9 a.m. according to nbcconnecticut.com.

According to accuweather.com, tonite's overnight low will be 11° but with the wind chill, it will feel like -10°. Tomorrow's predicted high is 24° which will really feel like 5° and then the temperature tomorrow night will feel like 6°.

The 'Severe Weather Protocol' has been put in place to direct staff from the state agencies to combine forces with United Way 211 along with Connecticut's network of shelters to make sure the state's most vulnerable residents are protected during this bone-chilling cold front.
