The man who has served the Candlewood Lake Authority for 19 years, which includes 14 years as its Executive Director, Larry Marsican, has resigned.

Larry was the guy who worked in harmony with all of the towns that bordered Candlewood Lake and is responsible for the significant achievements geared toward the protection and management of the lake. Larry has accepted a job with a company called Aquatic Ecosystems Research, which is a consulting firm based in Branford that "Helps to optimize lake and reservoir conservation practices through research, education, and public outreach."

Luckily, Larry's new gig will allow him to still serve Candlewood Lake. This is what he told the New Milford Spectrum:

It was a hard decision and very bittersweet but the reality is, I'm really not going anywhere and I'll still be involved with Candlewood.

This is a big win for Larry and for all of us who love and support Candlewood Lake! Because Mindy and I have had a boat on the lake for over 30 years, I've written several blogs about our favorite pastime that appear on i95rock.com and I-95's Facebook Page and Mr. Marsicano has always been a great support system whenever I've had any questions.

I'll leave you with a special message to the outgoing Director of the Candlewood Lake Authorty, Mr. Larry Marsicano:

Thank you for all you've done for Candlewood Lake. All of us who share your love of this beautiful 11 mile manmade wonder wish you only the best in your new venture! We'll See You on the Lake!
