Winter Playground Officially Opens for Connecticut Residents
Winter in New England. If you live here, you might as well have some fun with it.
Cold, even bitter cold, snow and ice. It's what happens in New England. Kudos to a Connecticut town for providing another way to make the best of the inevitable weather.
Back in October of 2017 the New Haven Register ran a story about plans to turn a park in Ansonia into a Winter Playground. The spot, Linett Park, which can be found behind North State Street off of Crowley Street in Ansonia is now known as the Ansonia Winter Playground.
Ansonia's Mayor David Cassetti had this to say to nhregister.com
Growing up in Ansonia, I have fond memories of sledding at Linett Park. During the winter, it was a great bonding place for kids throughout the city. This will be an experience that children and adults of the city can enjoy once again
