60 Connecticut Restaurants Feature Themed Items to Help Puerto Rico
CT Loves Puerto Rico is an initiative where participating restaurants from all over the state serve up Puerto Rican themed cuisine while helping the storm-battered island.
The week long campaign ends this Saturday, October 28 so you still have time to chow down. Click on gbin.net to find out which restaurants are taking part in this culinary fund raising campaign. Over 60 restaurants from southwestern Connecticut to the shoreline and up through the Hartford area are taking part.
Here's how CT Loves Puerto Rico works: Each of the participating restaurants offer either an island inspired dish or special cocktail. If you choose that specific drink or dish from the menu, 100% of the proceeds will go to the United Puerto Rico Fund. The fundraising idea was launched in Los Angeles and took off in Connecticut thanks to Public Relations consultant, Susan Hosmer. A win-win all around for hurricane ravaged Puerto Rico, participating Connecticut restaurants, and your happy taste buds. My only question is, "Why not get Danbury area restaurants involved?" For every restaurant participating in CT Loves Puerto Rico and the websites, click on this link.
