Danbury Teachers Take on Harlem Wizards in Big Basketball Fundraiser

According to a press release from Danbury PAL, one of the biggest community events of the fall is heading back to town, and it promises to be a lot more entertaining than your average basketball game.

On Saturday, September 26, local teachers will trade lesson plans for jump shots when they take on the world-famous Harlem Wizards at Danbury PAL on Hayestown Road. Doors open at 5 p.m., with tipoff set for 6 p.m., but this event is about much more than what happens on the scoreboard.

If you've never seen the Harlem Wizards in action, imagine basketball mixed with comedy, crowd participation, trick shots and plenty of laughs. The game has become a tradition in communities across the country because it gives families a chance to enjoy a fun night out while supporting local organizations.
