Danbury Mayor, Mark Boughton, joined the Ethan and Lou Show on I-95 this morning (9/24/20) in his regular weekly spot. While discussing COVID-19 numbers and safety measures, Mark Boughton provided this:

I've heard, we've been notified to expect a vaccine in the next couple of months. So, I think they are very, very close to deploying a vaccine.

The conversation continued:

Lou - "If the vaccine came out tomorrow, would you get it?"

Mark - "Well, I'm going to let you go first, see what happens to you."

Lou - "(interrupts) The answer is no, no, I would get it eventually, but, ya know..."

Mark - "(interrupts) I would get it, yes, I mean, obviously you got to be careful as a politician, you don't want to be first in line because people will be like, 'oh look at him, his life is more important than mine'. But, I would figure out a way to be, ya know, very prominent in getting the vaccine because I think it's important."

Lou - "No, but it's like, ya know, when the new TV comes out at Best Buy, the curved TV. People waiting in line for four days ahead of time, they buy the TV, they put it on their wall and they realize it sucks ass. I'm going to take a wait and see, I'm going to look around at people's heads afterwards to see if they are not enlarged or something or people aren't turning green. I'm just gonna check it out."

Ethan - "Once again Lou being realistic."

Hear the vaccine portion of our morning interview with Mark Boughton below. The discussion starts with Mark commenting on "COVID fatigue" and people who say they are willing to take their chances.
