Danbury Man Hit By Car on North Street, Police Seek Witnesses
The Danbury Police Department are looking for anyone who may have been a witness to a serious collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle.
According to a press release from the DPD, the collision was reported at about 8:37 PM Thursday night (September 7) somewhere around 82 North Street.
When officers arrived, they found that 31-year-old Nielson Rivas-Garcia of Danbury had been struck by a Subaru Outback being driven by a 56-year-old man, also of Danbury.
Local ambulance personnel reportedly treated Rivas-Garcia right there at the scene before taking him to Danbury Hospital for addition treatment to the injuries he sustained.
This incident is still under investigation by the Danbury PD's Traffic Division and anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact them at 203-797-2157.
