Danbury FD Removes Driver From Car After Building Crash on West St.
Late last night/early this morning (September 21), Danbury's emergency personnel responded to a scary situation on West Street.
According to a press release from the Danbury Fire Department, firefighters, along with police and EMS units, were dispatched to a reported car accident near Oil Mill Rd. When they arrived, they found a small car (pictured above) that had apparently crashed into the El Dorado Center located at 152 West St. before landing in some bushes just outside the building.
Firefighters needed to extricate the driver from the vehicle, who was then taken to Danbury Hospital by ambulance.
The Danbury FD stayed on the scene while the police department investigated the accident before clearing out at around 5:30 AM.
The driver was the only occupant inside the vehicle and his or her condition is unknown at this time.
