Connecticut State Police are reportedly investigating what's being called an untimely death in Oxford.

In a story from nbcconnecticut.com, a body was discovered in the Naugatuck State Forest on Monday afternoon (March 12) and Connecticut State Police are said to be investigating what being labeled an “untimely death."

According to the story, the State police, as well as, the Connecticut State Police Western Major Crimes unit and DEEP all responded to Naugatuck State Forest in Oxford Connecticut, near Old Litchfield Turnpike around 3:15 p.m. on March 12.

Troopers say they don't believe the death is criminal and there was no threat to the public.

Hopefully, this won't be a mystery for too long. While an investigation is underway, our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the deceased.
