If you believe the opinions of Yankee Magazine, Connecticut Magazine, Yelp.com, Tripadvisor.com, and the average Joe that voted for the best lobster roll online, Lobster Landing at 152 Commerce Street in Clinton is where you can eat the hot, buttered champion of Connecticut, and, dare I say it? All of New England. If you want one while it's still warm outside, you should get down there over the next few weeks.

Lobster Landing has announced via social media that they will be closing down early in 2024 on Sunday, September 29, because the permits have been issued that will allow them to raise up the weathered, historical building up out of the cold waters of Long Island Sound, and the suntan lotion of the millions of swimmers at nearby Hammonasset Beach State Park.

In June 2022, Yankee Magazine's Newengland.com heaped praise and echoed what most have said about Lobster Landing's 1/4 pound-stuffed beauties, and last year in 2023 eatthis.com named the lobster rolls at Lobster Landing, and Morris's West Shore Seafood, among their 12 Best Lobster Rolls in New England.

The good news is that if everything goes according to schedule, Lobster Landing will reopen in April 2025, and remain open until New Year's Eve 2026.
