Many states only offer a single weekend of tax-free shopping, but here in Connecticut, we kick it up a few notches with an entire week where you can buy certain clothing and footwear that costs less than $100 per item, tax free.
Here's what you need to know:
- Connecticut's tax free days starts this Sunday, August 20, and continues through Saturday, August 26.
- According to patch.com, you can buy certain items of clothing and footwear that retail for under $100 and you will not have to pay any tax. So you'll save at least 6.35 percent.
