A new study looked at Google Maps listings for pasta restaurants across the country and then adjusted the data per 100,000 residents to see which states are truly pasta obsessed.

Unsurprisingly, New Jersey takes the crown. The Garden State lives and breathes Italian American cuisine. New York isn’t far behind, with a thriving pasta scene that spans Little Italy, Brooklyn trattorias, and handmade pasta bars tucked into every neighborhood.

And here in Connecticut? We might be smaller, but we’re holding our own, showing that Nutmeg State residents know how to enjoy a solid plate of noodles.
