Connecticut, New York, and the States Obsessed with Pasta
According to research from Casino.online, Americans can’t get enough pasta. We’re talking the small bottles of marinara, the creamy Alfredo, the hearty meatballs—the stuff that comforts us on a Tuesday night and fuels our carb addictions all year long.

A new study looked at Google Maps listings for pasta restaurants across the country and then adjusted the data per 100,000 residents to see which states are truly pasta obsessed.
Unsurprisingly, New Jersey takes the crown. The Garden State lives and breathes Italian American cuisine. New York isn’t far behind, with a thriving pasta scene that spans Little Italy, Brooklyn trattorias, and handmade pasta bars tucked into every neighborhood.

And here in Connecticut? We might be smaller, but we’re holding our own, showing that Nutmeg State residents know how to enjoy a solid plate of noodles. If you live in New England or New York, you know the struggle is real deciding which local joint has the best penne alla vodka or linguine with clam sauce.

So next time you dig into a plate of spaghetti or a bowl of baked ziti, just know you’re carrying on a long, proud, and very hungry tradition—especially if you’re in CT or NY.
And seriously, how the H-E-Double hockey sticks did we lose to Missouri? That’s a debate for another day. I’m a certified pasta lunatic—grew up in a full-on Italian American household, and if I don’t get pasta at least twice a week, I turn into a lunatic. You should try my sauce, it will knock your socks off, but you won't care. You will be like forget socks; I have sauce.
