Comedian Brittany Brave Gets Honest About PR Life — And Why It’s So Easy to Roast
Comedian Brittany Brave Comes to Connecticut Tonight!
Brittany Brave is a New York City/Miami based comedian, known for her sharp, high-energy stand-up. She’s been seen on TBS, MTV, and The Wendy Williams Show, and was named Best Comedy Act by Time Out Miami in 2023 and Best Comedian by the Miami New Times in 2021.

Brittany brings her talents to Stamford, Connecticut’s New York Comedy Club tonight (10/17/25). Ahead of the show, we caught up with the rising star—here’s our favorite moment from the conversation.
Lou: You worked in PR. Listen, as a person who interacts with PR people every day, they are dead inside and there is, like, no personality to be had. I think that that is part of their job — it's sort of a defense mechanism. In that job, you learn what to say and not say, so they don't say much. Like, it's very soulless. Did you feel like, "I've got to get the hell out of here?"
Brittany: "Oh, totally, and I mean I was on the fun side of PR. Like, I worked at music labels and stuff, so it wasn't entirely soulless. You know, we would do cocaine in the boardroom and stuff. But yeah, a publicist's job is to stand in front of a house that is burning down and look at everybody and go, "Oh my god, this is lit! This is straight fire! This is amazing, it's so hot right now, it's incredible!" That is the opposite of a comedian. A comedian's job is to tell the truth. So, there were only so many board meetings and conference calls to be on where I got a hand slap for saying the wrong thing or an inappropriate joke before I realized, like, yeah, this may not be for me. So, here we are."
