I like to travel. I've been to a lot of airports around this country and the airports that are convenient, easy and affordable are my absolute favorites. Airports that are overcrowded, have long lines and are just completely unorganized stress me out so I always take that into consideration when deciding which airport I plan on flying out of / into.

According to Forbes, J.D. Power ranked airports of all different sizes. The report was based on airport satisfaction from over 26,000 surveys. The article states that the rankings were based on ease of travel through the airport, level of trust, terminal facilities, airport staff, departure / to airport experience, food, beverage, retail and arrival / from airport experience. I feel like these are very fair categories to rank an airport on. Each one is very important.

The article was broken up into 3 different sub-categories of airports - mega airports, large airports and medium airports. The overall winner of the mega airports category was Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. It was highlighted for its efficient layout and passenger-friendly design. The winner of the large airport category was John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. They were highlighted for the convenience of the airport. Finally, the overall winner of the medium airport category was Indianapolis International. The convenient location and design are what win people over for this airport.

While Connecticut didn't win overall for the medium airport category, I was happy to see we came in number 10. Bradley International Airport deserves all of the love, in my opinion. While no airport is perfect, I think they do a great job at efficiently getting people where they need to be. Everything is clearly marked and it's pretty hard to get lost. You don't have to deal with trams, busses, etc. It is all right there.

When I am choosing where to fly out of, I always look at the price difference between Connecticut and New York. If the difference isn't a significant amount, I will always choose Bradley Intl. Airport over the hustle and bustle of New York airports. Parking around the airport is so easy and the lines don't usually bother me.

I know that everybody has a favorite airport so I'm curious - what's yours?
