Brookfield Volunteers Respond to Structure Fire at Condo Complex
UPDATE: The Brookfield Police Department says that the Fire Department "made quick work of the fire and it is now under control." Another job well done by Brookfield's Bravest.
Both of the volunteer fire companies in Brookfield have sprung into action to fight a local structure fire.
According to a social media post from the Brookfield Police Department, the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company and the Candlewood Company are currently working to extinguish what is being referred to as a residential structure fire in the Ledgewood condo complex on Pond View Drive just off of Junction Road.
While police say there is no additional information available right now, they ask that residents do what they can to avoid the area until further notice. They also ask that folks refrain from calling the Brookfield Police Headquarters for updates about the fire due to the high volume of calls that the dispatchers are fielding.
This is a developing story and we'll be sure to keep you updated as news rolls in.
