Winter Weather Could Hit Greater Danbury This Coming Week
Well, while the Farmers Almanac predicts a fairly mild, "more wet than white" winter for our area, it appears as though things are going to get pretty chilly around here by the end of this coming week -- and dare I say there may even be some snow too?
According to the National Weather Service, a frost advisory is already in effect from midnight tonight (November 3) through 9:00 AM Monday morning, with temperatures that could reach as low as 28 degrees.
Once the frost melts off, the week gets off to a sunny start Monday, but showers are likely to roll in by Tuesday afternoon. With highs in the low-50s throughout most of the week and lows predicted in the mid-30s, you'll probably want to heed your grandmother's childhood advice and layer up.
Now Thursday is when the real fun starts. As the forecast stands right now, the Greater Danbury could see a mix of rain and snow showers starting around 10:00 PM Thursday night before potentially switching over to strictly snow showers after midnight.
As we all know, it's too early in the week to rush out to grab those ever-important milk sandwich ingredients, but we'll be sure to keep you updated as the forecast takes shape.
