Connecticut’s 2019-2020 Winter Weather Forecast Predictions

Connecticut's winter of 2019/2020 may not be all that bad.

Are meteorologists able to predict our weather for the next three to six months? I clicked on the website timeanddate.com and here's what I found. Short and medium-range forecasts are the most accurate. Weather prognostications after seven days should be considered a "rough guide."

But that's no fun, so let's "rough guide" Connecticut's long-range winter forecast just for the hell-of-it according to a couple of reputable sources. According to The Old Farmer's Almanac, Danbury will see its first snowfall sometime between Nov. 17 and Nov. 23. The forecast is calling for rain and wet snow and then sunny and cold.

Accuweather.com is predicting Danbury's first hint of snow on Thanksgiving, Nov. 28. The forecast calls for cloudy and windy with a chance for rain or snow and a high of 44 and a low of 24 with snow flurries.

Yes, I am a weather junkie, so here's the general outlook for Connecticut's winter weather for 2019/2020. The National Weather Service states that temperatures this winter will be above normal but had no other information. This is what the 2020 edition of the Old Farmer's Almanac is predicting for New England this winter,
