According to Hearst Connecticut Media, Danbury's own Two Steps chef, Tom Devine, is in it to win it. On the "Favorite Chef" page, Devine wrote,

I've been in love and passionate about cooking for over 40 years and have worked in just about every capacity since the age of 16. I would never even think of being in any other business.

Devine is taking part in the first round of the online competition. Up for grabs is $50,000, along with a chance to be featured in a two-page advertising spread.

If you've lived in the greater Danbury area for over 40 years as I have, no doubt you've been treated to Tom's delicious culinary creations at Two Steps or his other restaurant from back in the day, Ciao! Café and Wine Bar.

According to the rules page at favchef.com, there will be multiple rounds of voting and the public determines a winner on April 8, 2021. If you would like to take part, there are two options for voting: a free daily vote which requires you to log into Facebook, and a "Hero Vote" which requires a $10 payment.

A portion of the money generated by the $10 Hero Vote will go towards Feeding America, a nonprofit supporting hunger relief. Click this link to vote for Two Steps chef Tom Devine and don't forget; you can vote for free every day.
