The First Yard House Restaurant in Connecticut Opens in SoNo
"Great Food, Classic Rock, and The World's Largest Selection of Draft Beer". That's what you see surrounding the logo of national restaurant chain Yard House.
Now, if that's not a master class of mass target marketing, I don't know what is. You definitely know what to expect before you walk into the doors of one of these places. Yard House is one of the latest concepts from the Orlando-based Darden Restaurant Group, who also own Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Cheddar's and many more chains across the US. The first Yard House Restaurant in Connecticut officially opened its doors up for business yesterday, April 12, 2021, at Norwalk's SoNo Collection shopping mall.
SoNo Collection keeps on getting "the first in Connecticut" stores and restaurants. They were the first to open up an Amazon 4 Star, and now, the first Yard House has opened on Water Street in SoNo. The new place is street level and it's opened up a few months later than anticipated.
If you've never seen the menu of a Yard House, it looks very similar to that of a Cheesecake Factory, with a little of everything: Apps, Street Tacos, Soups, Salads, Pizzas, Burgers, Steaks, Chicken, Fish, Desserts, and a Kid's Menu. Where Yard House differentiates itself is in the heralded "World's Largest Selection of Draft Beer" headline. Yard House reportedly offers up to an astonishing 130 different beers, including house selections, flights of beer, and a menu broken down into taste, colors, ingredients, and strength.
Yard House Sono is open Monday to Friday from 4 PM to 10:30 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 10:30 PM. Online ordering and car side pickup are available.
