At 74 years old, the topic of retirement often comes up in conversations among my friends. Because of my age, I frequently get asked, "When are you going to retire?" My response is always the same: "I love my job too much to retire," followed by "When I can't figure out how to get to the radio station, then maybe it's time."

WalletHub has recently published a report titled "The Best and Worst Places to Retire in 2025," analyzing the most retirement-friendly states. It may not come as a surprise that Connecticut did not make the Top 5 in either the best or worst categories. To determine the most favorable states for retirement, WalletHub evaluated all 50 states based on three key factors: 1) Affordability, 2) Quality of Life, and 3) Health Care. To understand the methodology that WalletHub used to arrive at their conclusions, please visit wallethub.com.
