They also have a 9 year-old French Bulldog named Jax that Nicole describes as "an absolute clown" who is fiercely protective, which would come in handy after a few recent incidents.

Nicole told us the Baruffos have a Nest security camera system that they watch "constantly." She said the camera system picked up video of a black bear on the property last week but Jax chased it off. We asked Nicole for more information and she had this to tell us:

"We live in northern New Milford and numerous bear have been coming around since we moved here five years ago. This year however they have been around more than ever - multiple times a week. Just after this incident the bear was back the very next morning by 7 am. We catch them on our Nest camera constantly. This video in particular I was on the back deck yelling for Jax to come back but he was in attack mode. Jax is fearless when it come to anything (he has no idea he is 30lbs). This was not his first time biting a bears ankles. He’s done this about 4 or 5 times now. The bear have never come back at him — yet. We are a little concerned about that. (Jax is on an electric fence)"

If you can't tell, Nicole adores Jax. Take a look at what Jax was willing to do for the family. He did not hesitate running this bear off the property.

Danbury Resident Has Astonishing Close Encounter With Famous Moose

His name is Daryl Pitman, and he's a Danbury resident who recently had a super-close encounter with a moose that has become famous in the Greater-Danbury area. In the past few days this moose has been seen in multiple Danbury locations, it's been seen in Newtown, New Fairfield, Woodbury and even Pawling, NY to name a few.

I saw Daryl's pictures in a different moose related thread and reached out to him. I asked him to tell me more. I wanted to know if these photos were real? Did he take the pictures? Was this in Danbury? When was this? How did he feel. An excited Daryl got back to me with the following responses.

Creepy CT - New Images Beyond the Walls of Newtown's Abandoned Asylum - Fairfield Hills

Since it's frowned upon (illegal) to go inside the buildings without permission, there are not that many photos/videos from inside the walls. When a new video or photos surface, I jump on it, and that is exactly what I did when these images appeared on September 23, 2022.
