"In Conversation with the Sopranos" is coming to the Waterbury Palace Theater on Saturday, January 25, 2025. This 90-minute show features cast members Steve Schirripa (Bobby Bacala), Vincent Pastore (Big Pussy), and Michael Imperioli (Christopher).
Hosted by comedian Joey Kola, come see these iconic actors take the stage to share stories, memories, and slides from when The Sopranos was in production. Fans in attendance will have a chance to ask the cast members anything during the Q&A portion of the show. All topics are on the table, even theories on the show’s controversial series finale.
Ahead of this exciting event we got to speak with actor Steve Schirripa about his amazing career and the greatest drama in TV history, the Sopranos. This was our favorite moment from our chat with Steve.
Lou: I need you to separate yourself emotionally for a second, you're not a Sopranos cast member, you're not a friend to these people, you're a Sopranos fan, OK?
Steve: "Whatever you say, you're the boss. You sound like Uncle Junior giving Bobby orders."
Lou: I give you a gun with one bullet in it but you can only kill one of these characters, Richie Aprile, Ralph Cifaretto or Phil Leotardo, who are you killing?
Steve: "Oh, I have to say, Richie Aprile. Richie Aprile was played by David Proval. When he came on screen, you were scared. I grew up around guys like that—guys where any little thing could set them off. Richie was that guy. His eyes—David Proval is an incredible actor, truly underrated. I think Richie Aprile was the scariest character. Ralphie was a psychopath, and Frank Vincent played a nasty old mob guy like Phil Leotardo. That's my take, but I still believe David Proval's portrayal of Richie was the scariest. He really scared me."
