The conversation went a little something like this with my gal yesterday, “Oh wow, Shonda Rhimes bought a $15M house in Westport and it was previously owned by Melissa and Doug!”  to which I replied, “who and who?”

Some of you, like me, may not know these highly successful folks by name.  However, if you have kids and are looking for creative, unique, and high-quality toys, Jen tells me, Melissa and Doug are your go-to for this. She has purchased many of their products for her kiddos. They have their Headquarters in Wilton, CT. To learn more about Melissa and Doug, check out their “Meet Melissa and Doug” video.

I also, without knowing it, have watched many many episodes of Shonda Rhimes’ (no relation to Busta, unfortunately) shows like How to Get Away With Murder and Inventing Anna on Netflix and I’m told she produced countless others such as Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, Private Practice, Bridgerton, etc.

Now that we’ve established who Shonda, Melissa, and Doug are, let’s take a look at the newly acquired mansion in Westport, CT that went for a whopping $15.75M. We found this great YouTube video from The Real Estate Insider giving us a beautiful tour of this palatial estate. The photos are breathtaking among the most notable that caught my eye was a bowling alley, basketball court, and arcade room.  Please have a peek at the gallery below for some amazing pics.

The Barker Character, Comic and Cartoon Museum in Cheshire, CT

It's the Barker Character, Comic & Cartoon Museum, and just as the name says, it has all those things and more. It was like strolling down memory lane when I saw the pictures of some of the items that are a part of this massive personal collection.
