‘Seussical’ Brings Music and Wonder to Richter Park in Danbury
Get ready to enjoy an upbeat night out that's perfect for everyone.
Time to grab your lawn chair, or blanket and dig the mind of the creative Dr. Seuss.
One of the many things to enjoy in Connecticut is the theater. Something to be proud of sits right at the Richter Park Gold Course in Danbury. The Richter Arts Center was founded in 1985 and is the longest running outdoor theater in Connecticut.
Musicals at Richter continues it's 2017 season with a production of Seussical, which runs from July 28 until Aug. 12.
Here's the lowdown. Performances are, of course, outdoors, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights starting at 8:30 p.m., plus two specially discounted performances on Thursday Aug. 3 and 10. You can click HERE to purchase tickets in advance, or buy them at the door. The Richter Arts Center is next to the Richter Park Golf Course, 100 Aunt Hack Road in Danbury.
Watch some amazing local performers bring some of the beloved characters and incredible stories of Dr. Seuss to life with the awesome musical extravaganza known as Seussical.
The website musicalsatrichter.org says that grounds open at 7:15 p.m. for picnicking, with curtain at 8:30 p.m. Audience members are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets for seating.
As one of my favorite Dr. Seuss quotes says:
You're off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, So... get on your way!
