Go Fund Me Page Started For Victims of Brookfield Fire
In the early morning hours of Thursday (4/25/24) there was a monstrous fire raging in Brookfield. Teams of Fire Trucks decended on the Ledgewood condo complex on Boxwood Drive and learned they were in for a real challenge.
That day, the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company posted the following to their Facebook page:
"BVFC FIRE and EMS is currently operating at the scene of a 2 alarm structure fire on Boxwood Drive in the Ledgewood Complex. There are numerous agencies working in the area. Please use caution."
When all was said and done, 10 families were displaced, and two individuals were hospitalized. Now, there is an effort underway to help the families who lost their homes with a Go Fund Me page.
The Go Fund Me page was started by a man named Kevin Galliford who writes:
If you are able to contribute, it is greatly appreciated and if you are not able to contribute please share with family and friends. We cannot thank you enough, anything will help!"

TheGo Fund Me page has a $25,000 goal and as I write this it has succesfully brought in over $3,000 in donations.
NOTE: You should always do your own research before donating to any Go Fund Me page.
According to NBC CT:
Several agencies provided assistance to Brookfield crews as they worked to put the fire out. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
WTNH adds:
Two people were sent to the hospital following the fire, one of them for smoke inhalation. Fire officials said they had non-life threatening injuries.
Thank you to the brave men and women who battled this blaze.
