Rogers Park Has a New Look With Revitalization Project Complete
Mayor Mark is thrilled to announce the completion of the Rogers Park Pond Beautification project.
From the Danbury Hamlethub, Mayor Mark Boughton had this to say about this important project:
Our hope is that this project revitalization will not only showcase some of Danbury's splendor but allow more residents to enjoy the wonderful outdoor amentities we have right here in our city.
The beautification project included the sprucing up of 56 acres of parkland that includes a playground, a spray park, courts, and sports fields. Landscaping improvements were also made like the trimming back of dead trees and brush to highlight the foliage. The two pond bridges also received a much-needed facelift.
But wait, there's more. Four underwater aerators were installed and algaecide was applied to help treat the current algae situation and to keep the Rogers Park aquatic environment healthy for everyone. Mayor Mark also told the Hamlethub:
It's important for us as a city to cultivate and showcase our natural resources for our residents to enjoy.
